Hayakawa Study in Japan Partnership Program

Hayakawa Japanese Language School & Cultural Center, Chennai had signed multiple memoranda of understanding (MoUs) with several elite Japanese language schools in Japan for sending Indian students to Japan for higher studies in Japanese Language and Culture.

We have MOU’s with the following institutions.

PROGRAM DETAILS

  • Minimum of 12 years of formal education (10+2 or equivalent)
  • Basic knowledge of Japanese preferred (e.g., beginner-level course)
  • Must show genuine interest in Japanese language and culture
  • Should be financially capable of supporting education and living expenses
  • Must meet student visa requirements as per Japanese immigration rules
  • Any Degree.
  • Those who pursuing/completed C-JAT I or above in Hayakawa.
  • Age typically between 18 to 30 years (may vary by institution)
    The sponsor must qualify all the conditions in order to the student to get student visa in Japan.
  • Sponsor should be parents / siblings or self.
  • Sponsor should be working / retired with income.
  • Sponsors’ income should be able to bear all your expenses in Japan.
  • Sponsor should submit proof of income / deposits / investments.
  • Sponsor should be a Tax payer for atleast last 3 years.

Personal interviews for admission will be conducted online by the respective institutions, as required. Please note that Hayakawa is not responsible for the selection or rejection decisions made by these institutions.

  • Regular intakes are available in April and October each year.
  • Lateral entries may be considered in January and July, subject to availability.
  • Classes typically begin in the second week of the intake month in Japan.
  • Intake schedules may vary depending on the institution.
  • Colour photo with white background & no border - Passport size (4cm×3cm) – 6 Nos.
  • Notarized Copy of Indian passport, Aadhar Card, PAN Card, Ration Card, Relationship certificate etc.
  • Purpose of studying in Japan - English/Japanese
  • Updated CV
  • Proof of Japanese studies at Hayakawa
  • Notarized copy of Certificates (School/College/University)
  • Notarized copy of Transcripts
  • Notarized copy of Income proof, Tax returns & Salary certificate

The non-refundable selection fee for some schools is ₹11,800. The total annual cost for studying at a Japanese language school in Japan typically ranges from ¥700,000 to ¥1,000,000 (approximately ₹4 to ₹6.5 lakhs INR). Please note that the fees may vary depending on the institution and its location in Japan.

Institutions in Japan may offer support in finding accommodation; however, it is ultimately the student's responsibility to arrange suitable housing based on their individual needs and preferences.

Support for Studying in Japan

Hayakawa offers free counselling and guidance to our students seeking admission to Japanese language schools in Japan. Once admitted, the respective language schools in Japan will assist students with the following support services:

- Accommodation
- Residence Card
- Health Insurance
- Mobile Phone
- Japan Bank Account

Part Time Job

The language schools in Japan will support our students during the initial stages of their life in Japan, helping them adjust smoothly to their new environment. In addition to essential services, they will also assist students in finding suitable part-time job opportunities based on their Japanese language proficiency.

The average hourly wage ranges from ¥900 to ¥1,350, depending on the type of job, the student's Japanese skills and location.

Higher Education

While studying in Japan, students can receive continued support from their language schools for pursuing higher education. Many schools assist with the application process for universities and vocational colleges and also offer special coaching for university entrance examinations, helping students smoothly transition to the next stage of their academic journey in Japan.

Full time work

Upon completing a business-level Japanese language course, many language schools in Japan assist students by arranging job interviews for full-time employment opportunities. This support helps students transition from academic training to professional careers in Japan.
