Details

We at Hayakawa are happy to invite one and all to the Virtual Kendo!

About Kendo:

Kendo is one of the traditional Japanese martial arts – Budo. The way of the sword stretches back to the Heian period(8th to 12h century)when the samurai developed the skills to protect themselves and their Lords in battle. Kendo uses a bamboo sword(shinai)and armour(bogu)which is used to protect the body from strikes. But, the important aspects of Kendo are manners and etiquette towards other players and opponents, rather than simply winning or losing.

To respect and appreciate your opponent is one of the most important points of Kendo.

The way of the sword and the principle of The All Japan Kendo Federation is to develop yourself.

That is why Kendo is a budo study, not just a sport.

During the event, we will introduce about Kendo, the manner of Kendo and basic way of sword stretches.

We really hope that this event would turn out amazing and makes you refresh and help understand the splits of traditional Japanese martial arts.

Registration is must on or before 10th August 2021. Details regarding the Virtual Kendo will be sent to the participants the day before the event i.e. 11-08-2021.
