What is the role we are hiring for?
Japanese Bilingual Executive – Customer Relations. This is a medical interpreter cum facilitator role, and you will be supporting native Japanese on a day-to-day basis.
We are looking for someone who is outgoing, loves meeting and interacting with new people, and does not like boring desk jobs! Prior experience in a job using Japanese language is desirable, but not mandatory.

What is the work like?
You will be working with a team of Bilingual Japanese speakers and Japanese natives (Lingua Franca in office – Japanese!) and provide healthcare assistance to Japanese expatriates in the city.
1. Attend hospitals with Japanese patients and support with language and hospital procedures
2. Entering patient data into system for insurance processing (English and Japanese)
3. Supporting Japanese patients to make appointment with doctors (phone calls)
4. Replying to and sending mails from members/other branch staff in Japanese

What are the skills we are looking for?
Japanese Language skills, equivalent of JLPT N3 in Japanese / BA in Japanese or higher. Good spoken language skills is a pre-requisite, as this job mainly involves medical interpretation. We will provide training on medical terminology, interpretation skills and client management.

What are the working hours like?
As we provide healthcare assistance 24x7 on all 365 days, our staff work on a rotational duty to be able to respond to any medical emergencies that may arise out of office hours.
Office hours:
Weekdays: 9 am to 5 pm, Monday-Friday (two people are on duty every day to provide any out-of-office-hours assistance, so that’s typically 7-8 days a month where you MIGHT be required to work late, depending on the situation that day.
Weekends: Saturday and Sunday rotational shifts (Working maximum two Saturdays and one Sunday, on-call basis for a few hours, depending on the client requirement)

We provide hourly overtime and transportation charges at actuals for any client assistance work that’s done outside of 9-5.

You will be using the office car to commute to hospitals, and in case the car is occupied, you can take a taxi and the money is reimbursed.
