We at Hayakawa are glad to inform you that we are going to conduct a Senryu competition for our students at Chennai.
Chief Guest: Mr. Tomimitsu Yasuyuki, General Manager, All Nippon Airways (ANA).
Time: 11 AM to 1 PM
Date: Saturday, 8th Feb, 2020
Venue: 19, East Mada Street, Aminjikarai, Chennai 600029.
Senryu (川柳)- It is a Japanese form of short poetry similar to haiku.
Senryū tend to be about human foibles and a Senryu focuses on humans and usually contains irony.. But unlike Haiku, Senryu do not include Kigo (seasonal words).
1-When I catch,
3-My own son
The above Senryu literally translates to Catching him / I see the robber / is my son
It is very simple rules;
1. 5-7-5 pattern
2. The theme of Senryu is 家族(Kazoku) means family
3- A Senryu don't need to rhyme.
